SUPPORTING PEOPLE CARING FOR ADULTS WITH MENTAL HEALTH NEEDS
Providing an individually tailored service to support those caring for people with mental health needs. These needs range from those with chronic and enduring mental illness to those with dementia and Alzheimers Disease
We provide professionally trained Carer Support Workers who can come to your home to take over your caring responsibilities.
This can be anything from a few hours every week to a few days so that you, a carer, can have a break.
All our services are fully risk assessed and planned by our competent Team and we aim to provide you with a Carer Support Worker whose skills and abilities match your needs.
Our Carer Support Workers have manual handling, first aid, food hygiene, infection control and health and safety training. We can also assist with specialist care routines and the administration of medication.
We are registered with the Care Quality Commission.
In addition to helping with care tasks, our staff are also able to help with a range of light domestic duties, covering meal preparation, bed making and routine housework.
We are also, subject to full assessment, able to take the person you care for out.
As well as delivering our service in a way that promotes independence and respects personal choices, we want our visits to be enjoyable for the person you care for and to give you, their carer, peace of mind.
Once introduced to you and the person you care for, regular visits will normally be undertaken by the same member of staff, but with further staff introduced to you to ensure you have back-up and flexibility.
Please do contact us if you would like to discuss your needs further
If you have a Social Services Care Manager – you may be able to ask them to fund some of your respite needs or ask to receive direct payments so that you can purchase our support direct.
We also have limited funding to provide support, free of charge, to carers who need one off respite or who are caring for a person who is on their GP palliative care register.
